Facilities Designed for Safety and Operational Efficiency
Atsalakis Shipyard operates within a fully integrated and highly organized shipyard complex in Perama, featuring approximately 7,000 sq.m. of land facilities and modern port infrastructure. The layout and development of the facilities are based on decades of accumulated expertise and have been designed with a strong focus on personnel and vessel safety, operational efficiency, and the high-quality execution of demanding ship repair and refit projects. The entire infrastructure is capable of reliably supporting both commercial vessels and high-specification yachts and motor yachts.
At the core of the shipyard’s operation is the upgraded 40m x 9.5m dry dock cradle. Its design and positioning enable safe and controlled haul-outs and launchings, flexibility in handling different vessel types, and immediate access for technical crews to critical work areas. Combined with the ASCOM BHT 320T Travel Lift, it forms an integrated vessel handling and transportation system that increases project capacity while enhancing safety standards at every stage of operation.
The organized piers, with a total length of 150 meters, provide secure berthing for vessels, electrical power and water supply services, as well as support for operations carried out both afloat and ashore. At the same time, the extensive land area has been configured to allow the simultaneous execution of multiple projects without compromising safety, organization, or productivity.
Specialized workshops, organized storage facilities, and advanced energy and technical infrastructure support heavy-duty technical works, vessel conversions, painting, and maintenance operations, all in full compliance with current technical, environmental, and quality standards of the maritime industry.
A particularly important development in the enhancement of the shipyard’s infrastructure and technical capabilities is the construction of an 80-meter breakwater, a project recently completed by the company. The new breakwater significantly improves the functionality of the facilities by enabling the berthing of larger and more vessels, improving workflow efficiency, and expanding the available operational area with increased convenience and safety.
Today, Atsalakis Shipyard’s facilities represent a technically advanced, safe, and operationally flexible infrastructure, fully prepared to meet the modern demands of the maritime market and to deliver high-quality results even for the most complex ship repair and refit projects.
