Modern Equipment & Technical Excellence
The equipment of Atsalakis Shipyard is one of the key pillars of its modern operational capability. Continuous investment in high-performance machinery, the use of specialized tools, and the integration of advanced technologies create an environment capable of handling demanding projects for commercial vessels, as well as motor yachts and yachts distinguished by their style and safety standards.
Travel Lift ASCOM BHT 320T – The Core of the Technological Upgrade
At the center of the shipyard’s equipment stands the ASCOM BHT 320T Travel Lift, one of the most significant investments of the company. It features a nominal lifting capacity of 320 tons and can accommodate vessels exceeding 41 meters in length. Its 16 lifting points ensure balanced load distribution, while high-precision remote-control systems and advanced safety mechanisms allow for the secure handling of high-value and technically demanding vessels.
High-Pressure Water Blasting Equipment – Up to 1100 bar
The shipyard is equipped with a high-pressure water blasting system operating at up to 1100 bar, suitable for the removal of old coatings, hull cleaning, surface preparation for specialized coatings, and pre-antifouling treatment works. The use of high-pressure water blasting reduces preparation time while significantly improving paint adhesion.
Painting Equipment & Environmental Protection Systems
The painting equipment includes high-capacity professional air compressors, precision spray-painting systems, particle containment protection systems, compressed air supply networks, tools for the application of antifouling and specialized marine coatings, shrink-film covering systems, and scaffolding structures for full perimeter coverage. These facilities ensure high-quality coating applications with enhanced safety and minimal environmental impact.
Heavy Steel Fabrication & Mechanical Engineering Equipment
The shipyard operates a complete range of machinery for fabrication, repairs, and vessel conversions. The steelwork department includes industrial press brakes, heavy-duty presses, metal cutting systems, CNC tools, and MIG, TIG, and electrode welding machines. At the same time, the mechanical engineering equipment supports works on shafts, engine foundations, alignments, propellers, stabilizers, thrusters, and steering gear systems, enabling high-precision repair operations.
Carpentry Equipment & Teak Works
For the servicing of leisure vessels and yachts, the shipyard is equipped with professional heavy-duty carpentry machinery, cutting and sanding equipment, teak deck application tools, workbenches for custom interior constructions, and systems for measuring and shaping curved surfaces. This specialization enables projects of high aesthetic and technical precision, particularly in the yacht sector.
Lifting Machinery & Support Equipment
The logistical infrastructure is complemented by forklifts with lifting capacities of 2.5, 5, 12, and 26 tons, aerial work platforms for operations at height, material transportation vehicles, and specialized heavy-component transport trolleys. This equipment ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials and machinery throughout the facilities.
Safety & Environmental Protection Equipment
The shipyard is equipped with certified firefighting systems and fixed fire suppression infrastructure, CCTV monitoring systems, emergency safety lighting, anti-pollution equipment for hull and painting operations, wastewater and liquid waste collection tanks, as well as organized waste management systems, all in full compliance with current environmental regulations and standards.
The modern equipment of Atsalakis Shipyard forms the technical foundation for the safe and efficient execution of complex projects, both for commercial vessels and luxury yachts, delivering high standards of quality, precision, and operational reliability.
